The regional analgesia of the labor

Abstract: Nowadays regional (neuroaxial) methods of anesthesia has become an excellent methods for analgesia during labor around the world. It has many advantages. The neuroaxial methods of anesthesia, which were conducted according to the strict rules, haven`t bad influence to mother and fetus.

Pain during labor will be different severity. Severe cases will be able to make variable complications to the mother, fetus and the process of delivery. That why doctors must pay a closer attention to the pain reducing during labor.

The article describes different kinds of regional anesthesia methods, which will be able to reduce pain during delivery. These methods include: spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia and caudal anesthesia. We have described the main indications, contraindications; technique of conduction and side effects. All benefits of different varieties neuroaxial anesthesia were compared.

The study presents varieties of pain during labor. The common mechanisms of its formation are given.

Summary: Theneuroaxial methods of anesthesia take a basic place in modern obstetrics. Success of regional anesthesia is based on strict rules in its technique.
